KhaDigi brings the fusion of primitive Khadi and its modern day counterpart digital printing. KhaDigi is a social enterprise company aiming to revive age-old means of artisan craft and textiles while bringing vocational training and a livelihood to women in the rural sector. These fabrics are handspun and handwoven using 100% sustainable materials like cotton, silk, soya waste, and bamboo. Handloom weavers, dyers, block printers, and other artisans use advanced technology to create and produce upcoming trends while maintaining traditional means of textile production. Umang Sridhar, co-founder of KhaDigi, believes in only one thing: “Be the change you want to see in the world.” Sridhar is a Fellow of the School for Social Entrepreneurs in India as well as recognized as a Top Women Innovator of India 2018. Tanya Chugh, co-founder of KhaDigi, has an MA in Fashion & Luxury Brand Management which makes her well-suited for the global fashion business world. Chugh is a visiting faculty member for Fashion Business at the Istituto Marangoni as she’s working towards promoting and uplifting the treasure of art and craft in India.
